We had classes non- stop last Friday so the only pictures I have are from school. We got to meet and talk to Japanese-speaking students at TIU and played card games with them. I made some new friends! After that, we got to sit in and judge the presentations for the advanced Japanese class (for Japanese our group is split into those who have taken Japanese and those who haven't). Four groups (TIU and Willamette students combined) presented a product that was made from trash and recycled materials. One group presented the idea for a violin made out of old fishing string and a bunch of other reused stuff. Another group presented the idea for a decorative palm tree made out of plastic bottles! I put a picture of the grading sheet below. I could understand a good ammount of the Japanese, at least relative to how much I could have on the first day here!
I usually combine multiple days into a post but the last week of the trip has been so so busy that I am just doing one day at a time to catch up and just get something out there for friends and family to read.
T-minus 2 days to America,
Anna
