The Final Few Days

These ticket machines are popular in Japan, this one is in the TIU cafeteria. You can either swipe your Pasmo or Suica, or just insert cash. You receive a ticket that you hand to the chef and they cook your food!
Pretty wall painting at the store I bought most of my furoshiki from:
I saw this type of crosswalk light multiple times. It had a timer on the side to let you know when it was close to turning to "walk."
Finally made it to the stationary store and made my first purchase there! I was in absolute heaven. They had so many colors of erasable pens *insert happy crying face emoji*

Thursday will be busy with preparation for our final presentations, which I will post about later, and Friday I catch a bus to the airport at 8:30am. This was some of the last time I had to go shopping and spend the rest of my yen! I got some furoshiki as well as more stationary store goodies.
Look at the little mushroom candies I found! They are very similar to Pocky; they have chocolate on a "bread stick" type cracker, but they look like little mushrooms and I am so in love with them.
I saw this gate at the beginning of a private drive in old Kawagoe. The intricate details captured my eye!
One last photo from my walk while shopping. This is the entrance has a turntable which the only other time I have ever seen one was in Thomas the Tank Engine. Right behind the turntable was the lift for the car garage elevator.

For our final project, we split into four groups focused on either energy, water resources, waste mangement, and green forests/rooves/curtains. My group focused on energy! We all made two huge posters with Japanese and English, and then we presented to people who stopped by in one of the common places on campus where we set up.
Two of my favorites: Milk Tea (the big one) and Daniel Allen.
My last train ride. Waiting for the train to take me back from TIU to the hotel.
Back in America now,
Anna
